How to play

Everything you need to know about the server: where to start, how to level faster, where to go every evening, and what to spend Zen and Goblin Points on.

Chapter 1

Start

Starter pack

Every new hero appears in game already geared and with wings.

  • Armor +6 with Luckfirst set for your class

Early levels with this kit fly by, and starting Zen comes in handy for potions and teleports.

Wings for the first 3 days

These wings can't be traded, sold, dropped, stored in the vault, or put in the Chaos Machine. They disappear after 3 days, by which time you can craft your own wings in the Chaos Machine.

Locked classes unlock when any of your heroes on this account reaches the required level. You can have up to five heroes per account.

Chapter 2

Leveling

In the evening EXP is multiplied by 2, and most events happen at the same time. The best time to level is from 20:00 to 23:00 MSK. During these hours rare skills of every class, Grow Lancer scrolls, Loch's Feather and Crest of Monarch also drop 2 times as often.

On death you lose 0.5% of the level's EXP, after master levels it's 0.35%. You don't lose Zen on death.

Party and mentor

In a party (Gold Party) every member gets this share of solo EXP from each monster:

Inside the party EXP is split by level: higher level members get more. Only members on the same map, alive, outside town and within view range get EXP.

Mentor: an experienced player (level 350+, resets or master levels) in the same party with a newbie without resets and within 30 tiles. The newbie gets +50% Zen from monsters, the mentor gets 30 goblin points for every 50 levels of the student. A player returning after 7 days away gets extra jewels and 100 goblin points. If the mentor and the student play from the same computer, there are no goblin points and no zen bonus.

Offline leveling

Set up MU Helper, stand in a good spot and type /offlevel. The client will close, but your hero will stay in the world and fight monsters according to the helper's settings. When you log in again, leveling will stop automatically.

Pick a spot your hero can handle solo: if monsters are too strong, the helper won't save you.

Resets

Reset returns your hero to level 10, resets stats and gives free points. Each next run is stronger than the previous one. Use /reset, and /resetinfo will show exact numbers for your hero.

In this world a hero can make at most 50 resets.

After 50 resets the grand reset opens: resets go back to zero, and in return the hero permanently gets bonus damage, defense and stat points. Command /grandreset, details in the grand reset guide.

Seals, pets, and mentor bonus are added on top of EXP.

Stat points

You can distribute points manually, /addstr 100 and so on, or enable auto-distribution: free points will go to the needed stats automatically.

Similarly work /addagi, /addvit, /addene and /addcmd. You can set up a queue: /addstr auto 1000, then /addagi auto, and points will be spent in order. Made a mistake? /resetstats for 5 M Zen will return all invested points.

Chapter 3

Every day

Events

All times are Moscow time. One of the four main events every day has double rewards: EXP, Zen and Goblin Points ×2. Timers on the “Events” page

Blood CastleBreak through the gates and the bridge and return the Archangel's weapon. Entry with Invisibility Cloak, open for 5 minutes.

Devil SquareWaves of monsters and lots of EXP in a short time. Entry with Devil's Invitation, open for 5 minutes.

Chaos CastleFree-for-all, last one standing wins. Enter with Armor of Guardsman.

Illusion TempleTwo teams fight for the sacred artifact. Entry with Scroll of Blood.

Golden InvasionGolden monsters spawn across the maps and drop chests.

Skeleton InvasionChief Skeleton Warrior comes to Lorencia, Noria, or Devias with an army of skeletons. Each monster in the invasion has a 20% chance to drop a Zenaria jewel.

White WizardWhite Wizard brings an army of orcs. Each monster in the invasion has a 20% chance to drop a Zenaria jewel.

Red DragonFive Red Dragons attack the towns. To the one who lands the killing blow: Gemstone, Jewel of Harmony, packs of stones, and goblin points.

KanturuFight against Maya and Nightmare in Kanturu Relics. You need a Moonstone Pendant to enter.

Treasure HuntSomewhere in Lorencia, Noria, Devias, Dungeon, Elvenland, Lost Tower, or Atlans, a chest containing Box of Kundun +3 appears. Hints every 5 minutes, 20 minutes to find it.

Guild Spot BattleGuilds battle for 6 elite spots. The winner owns the spot until the next battle: +7% EXP and double the chance for excellent items.

Red Dragon, 21:45: five dragons. The one who lands the killing blow gets Gemstone (100%), 10 Gemstone (50%), Jewel of Harmony (90%), 10 Jewel of Harmony (40%), a pack of 10 stones (30%), and 25 goblin points for each dropped reward.

Blood Castle, Devil Square, Chaos Castle and Illusion Temple rewards are boosted to match the server rates: 20 times more EXP than standard, 3 times more Zen, plus Goblin Points for your rank. Doppelganger opens at any time with Mirror of Dimensions or a ticket from the X-shop.

Bosses and Zen: What Drops Where

Every boss gives one reward to the last hit: a box drops at the killer's feet, protected for them, and goblin points go straight to the balance. The server announces Kundun, Selupan and rare loot to everyone.

  • Kundun 1–7a Box of Kundun by the Kalima number, +1 to +5 (Kundun 6 and 7 also +5), and 20 goblin points, 50 from Kundun 7
  • Selupana Blue Chocolate Box with an ancient item and 40 goblin points
  • Erohimeveryone in the fight gets the usual reward: Chaos, Life, 3 Bless and 3 Soul. The last hit also gets a Red Chocolate Box and 30 goblin points
  • Field bossesHydra and Zaikan: a Red Ribbon Box; Death Beam Knight, Hell Maine and Dark Phoenix: a Green Ribbon Box; Vulcanus elites: a Blue Ribbon Box. Plus 10 goblin points. Hydra, Zaikan, Death Beam Knight and Hell Maine respawn every 30 minutes, and one account gets field boss rewards at most 3 times an hour

What each box holds and with what chance is on its page in the knowledge base.

  • Kalima 1–7 is now a Zen location: spots with 5 monsters, Zen drops twice as often as usual.
  • On other maps, Zen drops 3 times less often, but the amount is the same.
  • Items for the second profession quest drop about once every 10–20 minutes of hunting.

Economy

Goblin Points

Goblin Points cannot be bought: they are earned only by playing and spent in the shop on the X key.

Players trade with Goblin Points: the personal shop in game (P key) sells items only for them, from 1 to 100,000 GP, seller gets 95%, 5% is commission. Zen isn't used in these deals.

Prices in Goblin Points (GP).

Goblin Points also buy a second vault page, forever: 120 more slots, 240 in total, for 1000 GP. Buy it with the button in the vault window or the /ware buy command; pages switch instantly, no relog needed. Inventory extensions are bought right in the inventory window: 200, 400, 700 and 1000 GP.

Zenaria jewels

Six special stones you won't find on regular servers. You use them on an item in your inventory, just like Jewel of Bless.

What Zen is spent on

Zen is easiest to farm in Kalima 1–7: it drops twice as often there, and on other maps 3 times less often. More

Items and jewels can be sold to other players for Goblin Points on the Market and in the personal shop in game (P key).

Chapter 5

PvP and guilds

Outlaws

Killing a player outside events and duels makes you an outlaw (PK). When you die, you lose 5% Zen from your inventory and more EXP, your vault is untouched. Clear the status with /pkclear, 10M Zen per kill.

AoE skills

They only hit those you're fighting: your duel opponent, players in Chaos Castle, in guild war and siege, enemies from Gens in Vulcanus, whoever attacked first, and outlaws. Your party, guild, and spot neighbors are not hit.

Gens

Duprian or Vanert, you can join from level 50 at an NPC in Lorencia or Noria. In Vulcanus the Gens fight each other, the Gens window is on F8. Player Contribution

Guilds

Castle Siege on Saturdays, every evening from 22:00 to 23:00 battle for 6 elite spots: owner gets +7% EXP and double the chance for excellent items on the spot. The guild leader starts wars with /war and Battle Soccer with /battlesoccer. Guild ranking

  • Kills, Gens points, and duels against your own accounts (same computer or address) don't count, and against the same opponent no more than 3 per day count.
  • In the guild spot battle, points are scored only by those who fight in the last 2 minutes, and one player per computer.
  • Guild spot: during the battle only players in guilds can enter, at other times only the owning guild. You can attack spot monsters from a distance only if you're allowed to enter.

Duel Tournament on Fridays: winner gets 3 Jewel of Chaos, 3 Jewel of Life and Jewel of Creation. Live score. All hero kills in killer ranking.

Link your account and the bot will remind you about events and siege, tell you about rare drops and hero death, when a friend logs in, and help you change your password. The guild master can link the guild chat to the game with /bindguild.

Log out of the game, open your account page and click “Move to Lorencia” next to the hero.

When the server restarts

Only at night, at 04:45 Moscow time (MSK), and not every night, only when an update is needed. You get a warning in game 5 minutes and 1 minute in advance.
